Tinh Sequeira Identified in Fatal Crash on Rancho Drive in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 14, 2023) – The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified 72-year-old Tinh Sequeira who died in a two-car crash on Rancho Drive on July 5.
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Glen Heather Way around 6:36 PM. Based on a report, 22-year-old Defon Muirente and his three passengers were in a Dodge Charger and speeding on northbound Rancho at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, they struck Sequeira’s Buick LeSabre while the victim was making a left turn at the intersection.
As a result, Sequeira suffered grave injuries and died at the University Medical Center.
Muirente and his three passengers suffered minor injuries. Crews also took them to UMC for treatment.
Currently, Muirente is facing charges of felony reckless driving resulting in death, driving without a valid driver’s license, and operating a vehicle with expired registration or plates.
