71-Year-Old Linda Higgins Identified in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 82 in De Kalb

 
DE KALB, TX (June 28, 2023) – Officials identified 71-year-old Linda Higgins of DeKalb who died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 82 on May 12.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 10:00 AM. Based on a report, iggins was driving a Chevrolet Silverado on the eastbound side of the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 70-year-old Robert H. Maxwell of Texarkana was driving a Dodge Ram west on the road. Due to unknown reasons, Higgins entered the westbound lane and struck Maxwell’s vehicle.
 
As a result, Higgins sustained grave injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Robert and his passenger, 68-year-old Sherrie B. Maxwell of Texarkana, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
