Donna Harrison and Oscar Abelenda III Killed, Port of Bay City Chairman George Harrison Injured in Crash on Highway 60 [Wharton, TX]

Oscar Abelenda, Donna Harrison Identified in Fatal Wharton Crash

 
WHARTON, TX (March 19, 2024) – Officials identified 71-year-old Donna Harrison of Bay City and 29-year-old Oscar Abelenda III of Katy who died in a crash on Highway 60 on March 8.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened early Friday morning. Based on a report, Abelenda was driving a 2010 Toyota Tundra when she collided with a 2023 GMC Yukon carrying Donna Harrison as a passenger.
 
As a result, both Abelenda and Donna Harrison suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Yukon, 63-year-old Port of Bay City Chairman George Harrison of Bay City, was critically injured and transported to the hospital for treatment.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
