Jeffery Forsythe Identified in Car Crash in Nacogdoches

 
NACOGDOCHES, TX (October 17, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that 70-year-old Jeffery Forsythe of Nacogdoches and his 11-year-old son suffered in a crash on Highway 59 on October 6.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 4:00 PM. Based on a report, Forsythe was driving a 2010 Ford F-150 north on the highway before the crash.
 
At the same time, 41-year-old Jonas Cyrius of Florida was southbound. Police said the Volvo had a blow-out on its front left tire, causing the truck to cross the median into the oncoming lane. There, the vehicle hit Forsythe’s Ford.
 
As a result, Forsythe and his son suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. Crews transported them to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
Cyrius was not hurt in the incident.
