Taliyah Lewis and Dante Lewis Identified in Fatal High-Speed Crash in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 22, 2024) – The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified six-year-old Taliyah Lewis and 11-year-old Dante Lewis who died in a crash on East Flamingo Road on November 8.
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at South Pecos-McLeod Interconnect around 5:00 PM. Based on a report, the victims were passengers in a compact SUV.
According to police, a sedan was traveling west on Flamingo Road and attempted to make a right turn at high speeds on a red light signal. Subsequently, it crashed into the right side of the children’s SUV. The impact pushed their vehicle into two other cars.
As a result, the children suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
Two other children sustained minor injuries.
LVMPD officials said the sedan driver left the scene. Officers ask anyone with information to call the LVMPD’s Collision Investigation section at (702) 828-3595.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
