Jeffrey Meek Detained after Visalia DUI Accident

 
VISALIA, CA (February 2, 2023)Jeffrey Meek faces charges after a DUI crash that injured people including a pregnant woman and a three-month-old baby on Road 108 on Sunday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, they received reports of a multi-vehicle crash around 6:00 p.m. near Avenue 264.

Based on reports, 35-year-old Meek of Visalia was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed when he sideswiped a Toyota Rav4 in front of him.

Meek immediately left after causing the initial crash. As he was heading northbound, he struck two more vehicles on the road. The Toyota Camry was driving ahead of Meek along with a Honda Civic at the time.

Responders sent the driver of the Rav4, her passenger, and a three-month-old to a hospital with injuries.

They also transported the drivers and passengers of both the Camry and Honda to a hospital with injuries ranging from major to minor.

CHP confirmed that a pregnant woman was one of the patients. She had contractions during the accident, but her situation did not escalate.

Meek was treated at the hospital for minor injuries. He will be booked into the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility for suspicion of DUI.
