Seven Hospitalized after Las Vegas Multi-Vehicle Accident
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 21, 2025) — Seven people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Lake Mead Boulevard on Monday, January 13.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred around 5:17 p.m. near the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and Toiyabe Street.
LVMPD said a Toyota Camry traveling westbound at high speed reportedly weaved between traffic. Then it veered into the center turn lane. After that, the vehicle collided with the front of a Lexus ES330 preparing to make a left turn.
The impact redirected the Toyota into the eastbound lanes. It subsequently struck a Dodge Challenger approaching Toiyabe Street.
Emergency responders transported all drivers and passengers from the three vehicles to UMC Trauma. Among the injured were six adults and a 3-year-old boy. Police reported that one woman sustained life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, others suffered ranging from minor to serious.
Authorities arrested the driver of the Toyota on suspicion of DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm, among other charges.
