20-Year-Old Steven Rosenberg Identified in Fatal Rollover Crash on 90 Freeway in Sprague

 
SPRAGUE, WA (November 17, 2023) – A coroner identified 20-year-old Steven D. Rosenberg of McCleary who died in a rollover crash on 90 Freeway on November 11.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened around 12:27 PM. Based on a report, a 2003 Toyota Tundra was traveling east on the freeway prior to the crash. Rosenberg was a passenger in it.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the Tundra left the road to the right, entered the shoulder, struck construction barrels, reentered the roadway to the left, and crossed the eastbound lanes. It then drove in the median and rolled ever before coming to rest facing the eastbound median. The impact ejected Rosenberg and the vehicle’s driver, 42-year-old Thomas J. Monaghan of McCleary. Neither of them were wearing seat belts.
 
As a result, Rosenberg suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Crews transported Monaghan to Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
