20-Year-Old Keyanna English-King Struck, Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver Christopher Holyfield in Lubbock

 
LUBBOCK, TX (April 6, 2023) – Lubbock Police identified 20-year-old Keyanna English-King as the victim who died in a hit-and-run on 19th Avenue on March 24.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Kelsey Avenue just after 11:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, English-King was walking on the south side of 19th Avenue prior the crash. Due to unknown reasons, 22-year-old Christopher Holyfield struck him and fled the scene in his SUV.
 
As a result, English-King suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
An LPD officer saw and followed the SUV with the description of the hit-and-run vehicle. After performing a pat down, the officer identified the driver as Holyfield and arrested him.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
