19-Year-Old Joanna Meza Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 24, 2023) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police arrested 19-year-old Joanna Meza of North Las Vegas after a fatal hit-and-run on Lake Mead Boulevard on January 17.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened near Mt. Hood Street around 4:25 PM.
 
Based on a report, Meza was driving a silver 2000 Toyota Avalon when she struck a 24-year-old North Las Vegas woman on the road. Subsequently, she fled the scene in her vehicle with damage to the front end and windshield.
 
As a result, emergency medical personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Officers did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
