Tanner Russell, Eduardo Medina-Piceno Identified in Fatal Chico Crash

 
CHICO, CA (April 20, 2023) – Police identified 19-year-old Eduardo Medina-Piceno and 21-year-old Tanner Russell as the victims who died in a crash on Eaton Road on April 13.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Esplanade.
 
Based on a report, the victims’ car was on the highway when it hit a big rig that was hauling logs. Subsequently, the car split into two pieces and burst into flames at the Chevron gas station at the intersection.
 
As a result, police said one of the victims died at the scene and the other died at the hospital.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are ongoing.
