Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Christopher Roman in Colton
COLTON, CA (January 3, 2022) – Colton Police arrested 19-year-old Christopher Roman following a fatal hit-and-run on West C Street on December 23.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Pennsylvania Avenue around 1:25 AM.
Based on a report, Roman was driving westbound on C Street at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, he hit a pedestrian and fled the scene.
As a result, the pedestrian died in the incident after suffering from blunt force trauma. Officials only identified him as a 33-year-old man.
Later on, officers found and arrested Roman on vehicular manslaughter charges. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center. Inmate records show he faces additional charges of hit-and-run causing death or injury and DUI causing bodily injury.
