Fatal Hit-and-Run on 32nd Street in Phoenix, 18-Year-Old Marco Roman Killed

 
PHOENIX, AZ (March 21, 2023) Phoenix police identified 18-year-old Marco Anthony Salgado Roman as the victim who died in a hit-and-run crash on 32nd Street on March 17.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at McDowell Road just after 10:00 PM. Based on a report, Roman’s car and a police mobile was one of the five vehicles that collided in the lanes.
 
Subsequently, one of the vehicles caught fire in the incident. Police said the driver that caused the wreck fled the scene on foot.
 
As a result, Roman suffered grave injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Five people suffered injuries and were in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two of the five were Phoenix police officers.
 
As of now, an investigation into what led up to the crash is ongoing.
