18-Year-Old Carlos Alvarez Identified in Fatal Crash on Loop 202 at Desert Foothills Parkway in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (February 5, 2025) – Authorities identified 18-year-old Carlos Alvarez who died in a rollover crash on Loop 202 on January 20.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at the overpass on Desert Foothills Parkway shortly before 10:00 AM. Based on a report, Alvarez was driving a Jeep Wrangler at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he didn’t turn correctly and crashed into the wall. Subsequently, his vehicle rolled over and landed on its roof. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
 
As a result, Alvarez suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
His passenger, an unidentified man, was not hurt.
