Major Bus Accident on 5 Freeway in Seattle

 
SEATTLE, WA (December 13, 2022) – The Seattle Fire Department confirmed that 18 people suffered injuries in an accident on 5 Freeway on December 12.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened in the southbound lane near Mercer Street just before 7:15 AM. Based on a report, two buses collided in the lanes for unknown reasons.
 
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) says the buses were carrying U.S. Navy personnel. As of now, it is unclear what caused the crash or if any other cars were involved.
 
As a result, 18 people were hurt. Fire crews treated all victims at the scene before they took them to local hospitals in stable condition.
 
Also, the crash blocked the two right lanes of the freeway.
 
As of now, the investigation into the case remains ongoing.
