SIERRA VISTA, AZ (September 14, 2023) – The Sierra Vista Police Department identified 17-year-old Zachary Teller who died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 90 on September 10.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Industry Drive around 8:15 PM. Based on a report, Teller was walking in the middle of the lane closest to the shoulder at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle came and hit him. Witnesses told police the vehicle tried to swerve out of the way but a collision still occurred.
 
As a result, Teller suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police said the driver did not show signs of impairment.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
