16-Year-Old Nathan Ortiz Dies in Pedestrian Accident on North Loop Drive [El Paso, TX]

EL PASO, TX (January 3, 2022) – El Paso police identified 16-year-old Nathan Alexander Ortiz as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on North Loop Drive on December 18.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened in the 9200 block of North Loop Drive around 7:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, a 2016 Nissan Altima was driving east on North Loop Drive when Ortiz crossed the street at an undesignated crossing point. Subsequently, the vehicle hit Ortiz.
 
Paramedics transported him to the hospital, where he later died.
