Teen Falls while Car Surfing on Quarry Drive in Douglas County

 
DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO (June 13, 2023) – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a 16-year-old died in a rollover crash on Quarry Drive on May 5.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Finn Avenue. Based on a report, the victim was “car surfing” at the time of the crash.
 
Witnesses reported the back seat passengers of a car were hanging out of the windows. Due to unknown reasons, the car crash and rolled over.
 
As a result, the teen died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity, pending kin notification.
 
Officers charged a juvenile in relation to the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
