16-Year-Old Jacob Morales Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Edinburg

 
EDINBURG, TX (November 2, 2023) – Officials identified 16-year-old Jacob Morales of Donna who died in a pedestrian accident on Val Verde Road on October 20.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Anderson Road at approximately 8:00 PM. Based on a report, Morales was walking on Val Verde Road (FM 1423) at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a white Chevrolet Silverado going northbound on the road struck him. Then, a black GMC, driving behind the Silverado, ran over the man who was on the ground. DPS said Morales was wearing dark clothing and the roadway was not well-lit.
 
As a result, Morales suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Both drivers stopped at the scene.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. However, no other details are available.
