Fatal Tucson Car Crash on Mary Ann Cleveland Way at Atterbury Wash Way

 
TUCSON, AZ (February 1, 2023) Tucson police confirmed the death of a 16-year-old girl in a two-vehicle crash on East Mary Ann Cleveland Way on January 23.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just west of South Atterbury Wash Way around 7:30 AM. Based on a report, the girl was driving a Toyota Corolla eastbound on Mary Ann at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, she veered into the oncoming lanes of traffic and struck a westbound Toyota Tundra.
 
As a result, the girl died in the incident. Officials did not release her name, citing respect for her family.
 
The driver of the Tundra suffered minor injuries.
 
Police did not consider speed or impairment as factors in the crash. As of now, an investigation is ongoing.
