HOUSTON, TX (November 18, 2022) – A teenager crossing Rankin Road at Imperial Valley Drive died in a pedestrian accident around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, two teenagers were crossing the road when an oncoming eastbound car struck one of them on Imperial Valley Drive.

Witnesses testified that the pedestrians failed to yield the right of way to the vehicle.

The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigation. Authorities ruled out intoxication and speed as factors in the crash.
