19-Year-Old Jonah Hurton Arrested for DUI in Fatal Odessa Accident

 
ODESSA, TX (December 10, 2024) – The Odessa Police Department 19-year-old Jonah Hurton following a fatal accident on 42nd Street on November 29.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Northwest County Road around 2:05 AM. Based on a report, Hurton was driving a 2018 Red F150 near the intersection before the crash.
 
At the same time, a 15-year-old boy was driving a stolen 2011 Kia Sorrento. Due to unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided.
 
As a result, the driver of the Kia suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Paramedics transported his 13-year-old passenger to Medical Center Hospital with serious injuries.
 
Police arrested Hurton for driving while intoxicated and taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. Additional charges are probable and officers ask anyone with information to contact Odessa Crime Stoppers at 432-333-TIPS.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
