14-Year-Old Siah Kearns Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Midland

 
MIDLAND, TX (January 9, 2023) – Officials identified 14-year-old Siah Ashlyn Kearns as the victim who died in an accident on Magellan Street on January 4.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Mockingbird Lane. Based on a report, Kearns was riding her electric scooter, crossing the intersection of Magellan Street and Mockingbird Lane.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck her.
 
Emergency crews took the victim to a Lubbock hospital, where she later died. The child was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Officials said she was a freshman at Midland High School.
