Fatal Horse and Car Accident on Great Trinity Forest Way in Dallas

 
DALLAS, TX (March 16, 2023) – Officers confirmed that a 14-year-old horseback rider died in an accident on Great Trinity Forest Way on March 14.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near 45 Freeway at approximately 5:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim and two others were riding stolen horses at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck them.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The two other riders, ages 16 and 17, were transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
One horse died instantly and another had to be euthanized at the scene. The third horse suffered injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
