14-Year-Old Bicyclist Struck and Injured by Vehicle on Mullen Road Southeast in Lacey

 
LACEY, WA (November 9, 2023) – Lacey Fire crews transported a 14-year-old girl to the hospital after a bicycle accident on Mullen Road Southeast on November 3.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Park Place Loop Southeast around 10:00 AM. Based on a report, the victim was riding her bicycle near the intersection during the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a 43-year-old driver hit her with a vehicle.
 
As a result, the girl sustained life-threatening injuries in the incident. Crews administered aid to the rider before they took her to the hospital for treatment.
 
The driver of the vehicle cooperated with law enforcement and police said that he was not under the influence of any substance at the time of the crash.
 
The investigation is being handled by the Lacey Police Department’s Major Accident Investigations Team. In addition, no other details are available.
