Daisy Torres Dies in Los Angeles County Crash; Carlos Torres, Christa Smith, and Percy Noe Jr. Yancor Injured

 
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA (December 12, 2022) The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office identified 14-year-old Daisy Torres as the victim who died in a crash on 165th Street East on December 3.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Avenue V around 4:00 PM. Based on a report, Torres was a passenger in a 2021 Polaris RZR that was traveling westbound on the road.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the Polaris collided with a 2016 Honda Civic that was traveling northbound.
 
As a result, Torres died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Polaris, 23-year-old Carlos Cruz Torres of Palmdale, sustained major injuries. His passengers, 20-year-old Christa Smith and a 17-year-old girl, also sustained major injuries. Crews transported them to Antelope Valley Hospital.
 
The Honda Civic’s driver, 31-year-old Percy Noe Jr. Yancor of California City, sustained moderate injuries and declined hospitalization.
 
At this point, the CHP continues to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
