Ashleigh Lawrence Struck, Killed by Suspected DUI Driver in Pacific Palisades

 
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA (April 17, 2023) – The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner identified 32-year-old Ashleigh Lawrence as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on Sunset Boulevard on April 9.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Pacific Coast Highway around 12:45 AM.
 
Based on a report, a 21-year-old driver driving southbound on Pacific Coast Highway crashed into the victim who was in a group of pedestrians and vehicles parked on the shoulder overlooking the beach. The Los Angeles Fire Department said the impact sent Lawrence and two of the three vehicles into the rocks.
 
As a result, Lawrence died in the accident.
 
Crews also transported one person to a hospital in serious condition and five others who were in fair to moderate conditions.
 
Police arrested the driver for suspicion of DUI.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
