Five People Hospitalized in Walnut Creek Bus Crash

 
WALNUT CREEK, CA (March 13, 2023) – Five people were injured after involvement in a crash on Ygnacio Valley Road and Oakland Boulevard on March 9.

According to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, it occurred shortly before 4:00 p.m. near Interstate 680.

Based on a report, four vehicles were involved including a county bus. One of the vehicles allegedly exited the highway too fast while the road was wet due to rainy weather.

Responders sent five people to the hospital with critical, moderate, and minor injuries.

Ten more people occupying the county bus were all evaluated at the scene.

No other details are made available at this time. However, an investigation is ongoing.
