SAN DIEGO, CA (January 17, 2022) – The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office identified 41-year-old Stephanie Karat Amick as the fatal victim in a pedestrian accident in the 1600 block of F Street on December 23.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of a Ford pickup truck had a possible seizure while driving. Consequently, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an Audi A3. Then, the Ford hit Amick and a 44-year-old man.
 
As a result, San Diego police said Amick died from her injuries.
 
The second victim suffered an open fracture to the lower left leg.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
