Randall Ray, Tracy Sundberg Die in Las Vegas Hit-and-Run

 
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (January 6, 2023) North Las Vegas police identified 51-year-old Tracy L. Sundberg and 68-year-old Randall Robert Ray as the pedestrians who died in a hit-and-run on Aliante Parkway on January 1.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at Nature Park Drive. Based on a report, 21-year-old Fernando Reyes’ car backed into another vehicle at the southbound turn lane at Aliante and 215 overpass.
 
Reyes drove off at a high rate of speed after the owner of the other vehicle asked for his insurance. As he approached Nature Park, he ran a red light and struck another car. Then, his vehicle went onto the sidewalk and it hit Sundberg and Ray.
 
Police said witnesses stopped Reyes as he attempted to flee the second scene on foot.
 
As a result, Sundberg and Ray died in the incident.
 
Police charged Reyes with numerous traffic infractions plus DUI resulting in death, DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm, failure to stop at the scene of an accident, and reckless driving.
