Bowie High School Student Colby Price Dies in Montague County Car Crash

 
MONTAGUE COUNTY, TX (January 5, 2023) – Officials identified 16-year-old Colby Price as the Bowie High School student who died in a crash on Highway 59 on January 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened Mill Street around 5:30 PM. Based on a report, Price was waiting to turn onto Mill at the time of the crash.
 
As he pulled out in front of a dump truck, the two vehicles collided head-on. Price was not wearing a seatbelt at that time.
 
As a result, Price suffered severe injuries in the incident. Emergency crews rushed him to the Nocona General Hospital, where he later died.
 
The driver of the dump truck was not hurt.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. No other information has been released at this time.
