One Killed, One Injured in Head-on Crash on George Washington Boulevard [Sutter County, CA]

Fatal Head-on Crash on George Washington Boulevard in Sutter County

 
SUTTER COUNTY, CA (January 4, 2023) – Officials confirmed that one person died in a head-on car crash on George Washington Boulevard on December 24.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Bogue Road around 10:00 PM. Based on a report, an 18-year-old woman was driving a 2017 Ford Mustang prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, the Mustang collided with the victim’s 1999 Ford Explorer going in the opposite direction. The Explorer overturned in the incident.
 
As a result, the 44-year-old man from Yuba City died at the scene. Officials did not release his name, pending kin notification.
 
The 18-year-old driving the Mustang was taken to Adventist Health and Rideout with serious injuries.
 
CHP considered alcohol and drugs as causes of the crash. As of now, the collision is still under investigation.
