Guadalupe Ariza Identified in Eastland County Fatal Crash, Alfredo Ariza Injured

 
EASTLAND COUNTY, TX (November 29, 2022) – Police identified 40-year-old Guadalupe Ortega Ariza of Denver City as the victim who died in a crash on 20 Freeway on November 24.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened east of Ranger around 10:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, 27-year-old Alfredo Guerrero Ariza was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado on the freeway around mile marker 353 at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, he overcorrected, drifted into the center median and lost control of the vehicle.
 
As a result, Guadalupe – his passenger – was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Paramedics treated Alfredo for his injuries before releasing him.
 
DPS says it was raining at the time of the crash and the vehicle overturned on wet roads. As of now, an investigation is ongoing.
