Daniel Olivarez Dies After Car Runs Stop Sign in Rio Hondo

 
RIO HONDO, TX (September 26, 2022) – Police identified Daniel Manuel Olivarez as the victim who died in a car crash on East Brown Tract Road on September 23.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near General Brant Road (SH 106) around 11:17 PM.
 
Based on a report, a white Mitsubishi Mirage traveling southbound on Brown Tract Road (FM 2925) disregarded the stop sign. Subsequently, it collided with a green Dodge Ram which was traveling eastbound on General Brant Road.
 
As a result, the driver of the Dodge – 25-year-old Olivarez of Rio Hondo – died in a hospital in Harlingen.
 
The driver of the Mitsubishi suffered injuries and may be face charges for a possible DUI case.
