Douglas Prado Died in Crash on Highway 101 at Talmage Road

 
UKIAH, CA (August 18, 2022)Douglas Prado died following an incident of car crash on Highway 101 at Talmage Road on Sunday, August 14.

Investigations conducted by the California Highway Patrol revealed that the incident took place around 6:30 p.m. and involved a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle – driven by Prado – and a white 2013 Toyota Venza.

Reports said that the Davidson was heading southbound on Talmage Road when Toyota tried to merge onto the southbound ramp of the road. The driver failed to do so properly which caused him to drive the wrong-way and crash into the motorcycle.

Prado died at the scene, police confirmed.

The driver of the Venza, identified as an 83-year-old man from Ukiah, did not suffer any injuries in the collision. He stayed at the scene of the accident and cooperated with the authorities, police said.

Although officials are still investigating the incident, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is already ruled out.
