Alexia Rosales Killed after Boerne Car Accident on 10 Freeway

 
BOERNE, TX (December 29, 2024) — A 22-year-old teacher, Alexia Rosales, died in a car accident on Thursday, December 19.
 
According to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, the incident occurred at about 4:00 p.m. at the ExcellED Montessori Plus Daycare Preschool. The school is located along West 10 Freeway Frontage Road near Ranchland View.
 
Official reports said parents were picking up students after a holiday performance at Excelled Montessori Plus School. As one parent loaded up her children in the vehicle, the car accelerated and struck another vehicle.
 
After that, those vehicles went through a fence where children were playing behind it, as well as a faculty member.
 
The incident pinned the faculty member and children under the vehicle. Emergency crews arrived and freed the children and the adult.
 
Sheriff Salazar said paramedics brought at least five injured children to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, the faculty member died from sustained injuries. They later identified her as a 22-year-old Alexia Rosales. The preschool set up a GoFundMe page to help her family with the funeral costs.
 
Bexar County officials said there will be no criminal charges as they believe the incident happened as a result of a medical episode.
