Man Killed in Boulder Hit-and-Run on Highway 36 near Longhorn Road

 
BOULDER, CO (October 22, 2024) — A 75-year-old pedestrian died in a hit-and-run on Highway 36 on Sunday, October 8.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the incident happened at about 10:57 p.m. on Highway 36 near Longhorn Road.
 
CSP said a 75-year-old man walked down the middle of Highway 36. Then, a white pickup truck moving northbound fatally hit him. After that, the pickup fled the scene.
 
Authorities have not yet identified the driver.
 
CSP believes the hit-and-run vehicle was a white GMC Sierra or a Chevrolet Silverado. They estimated the model to be between 2007 and 2012. In addition, they said it has a black grill, a chrome front bumper, and possibly black wheels.
 
According to CSP, the vehicle probably sustained damage to the front driver-side bumper. Its grill and fog light housing may also be broken.
