One Killed, Maggie Weber Detained in Houston Crash on Katy Freeway

 
HOUSTON, TX (June 10, 2024) – The Houston Police Department arrested 29-year-old Maggie Anne Louise Weber of Houston following a fatal DUI crash in the 13800 Katy Freeway on May 25.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 1:10 AM. Based on a report, Weber was driving a white Lexus RX350 on the freeway.
 
At the same time, a 46-year-old male was changing a tire on his black Kia Sportage in a moving traffic lane. Due to unknown reasons, Weber hit the victim and his vehicle.
 
As a result, the man suffered grave injuries in the incident. The Houston Fire Department responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene. They did not release his name, pending kin notification.
 
Weber exhibited signs of intoxication and police transported her to the Harris County Joint Processing Center. Officers charged her with driving while intoxicated – her second offense – in Harris County Criminal Court #1.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
