Ansar Azim Killed in Phoenix Motorcycle Crash

 
PHOENIX, AZ (May 28, 2024) — A man identified as 27-year-old Ansar Azim died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, May 18.
 
According to the Phoenix police, the crash took place near 24th Street and Indian School Road shortly before 12:30 a.m.
 
Police believe a vehicle tried to turn left onto Indian School Road. Then the driver failed to yield to Azim, who rode a motorcycle.
 
After that, Azim struck the vehicle on the driver’s side as he traveled westbound on Indian School Road.
 
When responding officers arrived, they discovered Azim with serious injuries. Then they transported him to the hospital. However, he died from sustained injuries at the hospital.
 
Police said the driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident remained at the scene.
 
Officials believe impairment is a factor in the incident. There are pending charges against the other driver. His identity is not yet available. However, police said he is a 53-year-old man.
 
Authorities continue to investigate this incident.
