Drunk Driver Involved in Crash with Police Vehicle on 17 Freeway in Phoenix
PHOENIX, AZ (April 11, 2024) – The Phoenix Police Department arrested a woman following a DUI crash on 17 Freeway on April 3.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at 7th Avenue just before 2:30 AM. Based on a report, a Phoenix Police vehicle was stopped for traffic at a red light.
Due to unknown reasons, the woman rear-ended the police vehicle.
Paramedics did not record any injuries in the crash. Officers transported the woman to the hospital as a precaution.
They also issued her a citation for driving under the influence.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
