Officer Hurt, Man Arrested in Pursuit Crash on Las Vegas Boulevard and Reno Avenue

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 11, 2024) — A Las Vegas officer sustained injuries in a pursuit accident on Las Vegas Boulevard on Thursday, April 4.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, an officer tried to stop a man near Las Vegas Boulevard and Reno Avenue at about 7:57 p.m. as part of an investigation.
 
However, the suspect then fled on a scooter. Officers then chased the male suspect on foot.
 
Police said after they caught up with the suspect, he resisted arrest and additional officers responded to help.
 
One officer pulled up close to the officer arresting the suspect. When he got out of the car, the patrol vehicle continued to move forward. It then rolled over the other officer’s leg.
 
Police said the officer suffered a minor injury.
 
According to the LVMPD, they booked the suspect to jail.
