Abigail Kate-Rascher Killed, Jennifer Rascher and Jose Loyola Hurt in School Bus Crash on Lucas Road [Princeton, TX]

9-Year-Old Abigail Kate-Rascher Dies in Princeton Car Accident

 
PRINCETON, TX (February 5, 2024) — Officials said 9-year-old Abigail Kate-Rascher, of Princeton, died in a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday.
 
According to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office, the four-vehicle crash occurred at around 3:44 p.m. on the FM 3286 bridge over Lavon Lake. It is also known as Lucas Road.
 
Four vehicles were part of the crash: a sedan, a Jeep, a work van, and a Princeton ISD school bus.
 
The Texas Department of Transportation said the initial investigation determined that the Jeep Wrangler rear-ended the Nissan Versa. The collision caused the sedan to crash into the commercial van. After that, the Jeep hit a retainer wall and lastly side-swiped the school bus.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Kate-Rascher of Princeton was a passenger in the sedan. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
Paramedics transported the driver of the sedan, 41-year-old Jennifer Rascher, to a local hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
 
EMS responders also rushed the driver of the Jeep to a local hospital with minor injuries. They identified him as 20-year-old Jose Loyola.
 
PISD officials said the bus driver and the nine students on board were not hurt.
