Edna Galindo Fatally Injured in Templeton DUI Accident

 
TEMPLETON, CA (January 31, 2024) — Edna Marquez Galindo was killed and Oscar Del La Mora Marin sustained injuries after a DUI crash on Highway 101 on January 21.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 10:42 p.m. just south of Del Rio Road.

Based on reports, 37-year-old Marin was speeding along Del Rio Road before swerving into the center divider. He tried to go back to the roadway, but he overcorrected and spun around into the southbound lanes.

It soon drove off-road and rolled over. It was later revealed that Mora Marin was under the influence.

32-year-old Galindo was his passenger at the time. Responders transported her to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, but she later died.

Marin sustained minor injuries. He was soon arrested on suspicion of DUI and was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail.

Galindo’s friends set up a GoFundMe for her funeral expenses.
