Daryl Smith Involved in Fatal Crash on Lake Mead Parkway at Grand Cadence Drive in Henderson

 
HENDERSON, NV (January 15, 2024) – The Henderson Police Department arrested 36-year-old Daryl Smith following a DUI crash on Lake Mead Parkway on January 7.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at Grand Cadence Drive around 5:49 PM. Based on a report, a woman and her two kids were in a vehicle waiting for a red light when the crash happened.
 
Police said Smith caused the crash that also involved two other cars.
 
As a result, the woman and her sons, 5 and 6, suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not yet release their names, pending kin notification.
 
Police arrested Smith for three counts of DUI and one count of reckless driving.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
