Manuel Gonzalez Identified in Fatal Crash on Gateway North Boulevard in El Paso County

 
EL PASO COUNTY, TX (August 8, 2023) – The El Paso Police Department identified 34-year-old Manuel Alejandro Gonzalez of Chaparral, New Mexico who died in a crash on Gateway North Boulevard on July 29.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Kenworthy Street. Based on a report, Gonzalez was driving a Ford Raptor at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a silver Mac LTT tanker truck was on the northbound lane and making a left turn at the Gateway Boulevard. Due to unknown reasons, Gonzalez ran a red light at the intersection and collided with the tanker.
 
As a result, Gonzalez suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
His passenger, 36-year-old Melissa Tristan of Socorro, sustained injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
