Fatal Hit-and-Run on Twain Avenue and University Center Drive

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 13, 2023) — A man died after a hit-and-run at the intersection of East Twain Avenue and University Center Drive on Sunday, July 2.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash happened at about 9:12 p.m.
 
A release from the LVMPD said a 43-year-old man walked in the westbound lanes of Twain Avenue. Then a 2017-2019 dark grey Nissan Rogue struck him.
 
Paramedics transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital, where medical officers pronounced him dead. The Clark County Coroner’s Office has not yet released his identity pending notification of his family.
 
At approximately 2:20 p.m. Monday, LVMPD said they found a 2021 Nissan Rogue that had damage consistent with the accident near the crash scene. Police say the car has Oregon license plates and is a rental vehicle.
 
The driver of the Nissan is still at large.
