Beatriz Pena Killed in Las Vegas Car Crash on North Hollywood Boulevard

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 13, 2023) — A woman identified as 29-year-old Beatriz Pena of North Las Vegas died in a car crash on Sunday, July 2.
 
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, at around 1:55 a.m. officials responded to a crash on North Hollywood Boulevard, just south of East Stewart Avenue.
 
Investigators said a 2005 Toyota Matrix traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Hollywood Boulevard ran off the road. Then it crashed into a tree.
 
Pena, who drove the vehicle, died at the scene. Officers determined the cause of her death as multiple blunt force injuries. They also ruled her death as an accident.
 
Paramedics transported a passenger, 22-year-old Breanna Thompson of Las Vegas, to an area hospital with serious injuries. As of now, there are no reports to the extent of her condition.
 
The crash remains under investigation by police.
