Andres Gutierrez Identified in Chula Vista Car Accident

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (May 30, 2023) – The San Diego County Medical Examiner identified 58-year-old Andres Montante Gutierrez of Chula Vista who died in a car accident in the 700 block of E Street on May 24.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 6:00 AM. Based on a report, Gutierrez was traveling in a Honda sedan westbound on the street prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a Nissan sedan stopped on the road while waiting to make a turn. Due to unknown reasons, Gutierrez veered into a left turn lane and struck the Nissan.
 
As a result, Chula Vista Police officers confirmed that Gutierrez sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Emergency crews transported the Nissan driver to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
