Carjacking Pursuit Ends in Fatal Colorado Springs Crash, 18-Year-Old D’Angelo Flynn Arrested

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (April 25, 2023) – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old D’Angelo Flynn after a carjacking incident ended in a pursuit and fatal crash on North Circle Drive on April 13.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at East Bijou Street around 12:52 AM. Based on a report, a caller told El Paso officers that their mother was held at gunpoint and two suspects took her silver Hyundai Kona.
 
Subsequently, officers located the stolen vehicle and started a tactical vehicle intervention. At that point, the vehicle crashed at the intersection.
 
As a result, one of the two suspects died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the suspect’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Crews took Flynn, the other suspect, to the hospital with injuries.
 
The Sheriff’s Office arrested and booked Flynn into the El Paso County Jail on charges of Aggravated Robbery and Vehicular Eluding. He is being held on a $25,000 bond.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
