KENNEWICK, WA (December 1, 2024) — Zachariah Haynes and Jason Moreland died in an ATV accident on Sunday, November 10.
 
According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened near South Dague Road and South Perkins Road. They said a four-wheeler and mini bike crashed head-on in the area.
 
Both drivers succumbed to sustained injuries from the incident and died at the scene.
 
Authorities identified them as 42-year-old Zachariah Haynes, of Kennewick, and 49-year-old Jason Moreland, of Finley.
 
It is still unclear whether the two knew each other or if alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Haynes’ cousin, Natausha Burris, made a GoFundMe account to support his family. He leaves behind a wife, children, and grandchildren.
 
Authorities closed Dague Road between Perkins Road and Bowles Road from around 9:30 p.m. until 3:30 a.m. as they cleared the scene and investigated.
